PBS
SPECIAL!
On Sunday,
February 3, 2002, following the Super Bowl, PBS will
broadcast
"Super Commercials:
a Mental Engineering Special".
(10:30 PM EST)
The thirty
minute special will be carried on PBS stations nationwide.
Host John Forde and four national panelists will take
a smart, playful look at several of the new commercials-
how they work and what they mean. 'Super Commercials'
is based on the public television series, Mental Engineeering.
Mental Engineering was created for non-commercial PUBLIC
television. It is a new genre of TV program, candidly
discussing TV commercials from the viewer's perspective.
The Super Bowl attracts a viewing audience of 70 million
households. It is estimated that up to one quarter of
viewers tune in primarily to see and talk about the
new commercials.
